Oz Report's Useful Goodies

The United States Post Office now charges $10 to ship any package to non US countries, including my 3 ounces "packages." This combined with the hassle of filling out customs forms makes shipping overseas painful. Therefore I am not longer shipping to Canada, Mexico, or any other country other than the US. I apologize in advance.

2 meter (ham frequency) Antenna with Male SMA connector (plus female adapter), $20.

Out of stock. Probably won't have them back in until December.

Five foot long total. The radiating (antenna) part is the unshielded center cable (for 144-148 MHz) which you attach to your harness mains (vertically), and the braided ground, that you attach to your back plate or back of your harness. This gets your vertically polarized signal out unlike that little rubber ducky that came with your radio and is easy to install..

The coax cable is the thin version RG174. This is the same cable that I have on my car antenna and it works well there. I've started using these thin antennas two years ago so I don't have years of experience with them as I do with the RG58 (fat) coax cables. Like all my antennas they have a 3 years warranty.  These work with the Japanese radios and with adapter (included) Chinese 2m radios like Baofeng.
